My name is Saimon Lomaloma, of Fijian/Kiwi decent, from Island Bay, Wellington. After recently completing my CA, I'm now finishing my law degree at Victoria University of Wellington. I play for the VUW Hunters RLC and have a passion for League. In late June, I will be traveling to the Students Rugby League World Cup in Leeds, UK in a dual capacity representing NZ and as a council member of the NZ University & Tertiary Students Rugby League.
We all individually have the financial commitment of $5,000 to fundraise for the tour and it has proven a challenging task so far, approaching many corporates supportive of Rugby League only to be told they don’t get enough exposure. However, for many die hard rugby league people and myself - it’s all done for the love of the game! I have since decided to try social media in an attempt to fundraise 30%-50% of the cost + pledgeme fees. I hope to achieve this with the help of family, friends and the generous people of pledgeme as well as some rewards, which I will work hard to source and update as they become available.
Do you want to support even more? Are you a business owner looking to advertise? Then I have an opportunity for you. As part of fundraising we are making and distributing a University and Tertiary Rugby League magazine, which will be distributed worldwide! This will include a
personal profile page of each member of our team, which will be surrounded by our sponsors. All proceeds from purchasing a spot on the page will go towards the team members trip, and you can support as many of my team mates as you want to get the level of exposure you desire. Movie Night - Haute Cuisine

Haute Cusine has just screened at the French Film Festival and was well received. My mother is organising a early screening at the Penthouse prior to general public screenings. See the below for a run down and trailer.

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to thank all the pledgers for their support so far and note the cray & paua giveaway packs are not for sale or raffle. Most of the seafood I dive for is given away to family & friends and thought as a token of my appreciation I'd like to look after some of the people helping me out with the league trip.
