Simple Explanation -

I like taking photos, and i want people to be able to share their photos with the world. So, how cool would it be if you could go to a bar, take some photos, and then email it to the bar you were at for them to print out and pop up on the wall. Great night at Red Square? Captured. Rocking gig at Mighty Mighty? Caught. And, it’s a win win. You get your photos out of your camera and up in the real world, and the venue get’s some cool shots of crazy kids having fun.

comRoid - email picture to address, picture prints automatically.

The Idea -

 Our goal is to develop a platform allowing individuals to show off their photos at popular venues. The main idea behind comRoid is to get more & more photos onto paper. Since the development of the web, less  photos are being actually printed as a hard copy. With your help  we will be able to get a lot of people to take part, therefore have more venues where people can get their photos printed and shown to the world.
 

What is comRoid?

comroid is a platform alowing anyone to share their photos to the real world. Users take square format photos, email them to an address and they automatically print at the venue of their choice.

We are in the process of developing a Desktop app and mobile app to simplify this process for the user and venue owner.
 

How does it currently work?

1 - Take a square format photo with any camera (try and use retro camera apps like hipstamatic or instagram).

2 - Email your pic to [email protected] and in the subject bar type in the venue code where you want the photo to print.
Write a brief description in the message body (dates and places are good).


3 - The photo will automatically print in the venue you stated in the subject line. Your photo will be displayed in the venue for others to see. 
 

Funds -

The Funds will mainly be used to develop a computer app to make it easier for the venue owner and the user. I would like to produce informative flyers and posters to spread the word. Some of the money would also go towards the venues to help them set up a comRoid.
