Please help send stormchasers.co.nz to Queensland, Australia!!

Stormchasers.co.nz is made up of Stephen Burrows and Aaron Wilkinson and has come to together after 8 years of chasing storms all over the south Island. We are a couple of weather nuts, not scared to travel 100's of Km's in a day to witness even just one lightning strike! Sometimes we bust and see absolutely nothing!!

www.stormchasers.co.nz

This trip to Australia is timed to coincide with Queensland's storm season where we will have a good shot at improve our understanding of severe weather forecasting and video/photography skills as we document these highly active storms.

While we make no money from chasing our vision is that one day we can turn our passion and love for severe weather into our lively hood. But we can be limited in Canterbury we may not even witness a single storm in a summer, while in Queensland a storm every day is a high probability, with a little bit of driving. In the past Stephen has had the opportunity to chase in Darwin (2010) and Torndao Alley in the USA (2007). Queensland we help us build on what we know and be a massive learning curve.

Where will these funds go? They will help us on the road. We will be travelling huge distances, a thousand km's in a day isn't out of the question. We will also be streaming our chases live on the internet so other storm chasers around the world can follow us and will help us get our name out there. You can imagine that our data usage will be massive aswell as our gas bill!

Aaron has been working as a Weather forecaster for almost 5 years and has a great understanding of the weather right across the country. You can be assured your reward should you choose to take will be well worth it!

It would be a great experience to go to Queensland and develop of skills further, thanks for considering us :)
