This collection of KIX pins is a series of 12 Pride flags so that you can rep your step with pride and show support for Rainbow Youth NZ. 

$4.20 per sale goes directly to Rainbow Youth NZ.

Roughly two years in the making from our first concepts and liaising with Rainbow Youth New Zealand, to the design and manufacture of samples.

Here at KIX, our aim is to empower our customers by providing a tool that can speak volumes.

So what are KIX?

Originally developed as a tool to aid with interpersonal skills among children by acting as an icebreaker to help stimulate conversation and aid in the formation of natural bonds needed for human development. KIX has further developed into helping orginizations and charities raise attention and funding, while providing a subtle yet stylish way to represent yourself.

KIX are made from high quality Stainless Steel and have been designed so that they can fit virtually any shoe with eyelets.

With global anxiety at an all time high, we believe that KIX can help people to signal others with similar interests and aid in the formation of relationships as an adult.

How did they come to be?

KIX as a concept was an idea written down with head on pillow and left to simmer for a few months while we worked out the details.

We designed 6 different iterations for how KIX would attach to footwear with improvements at each stage.

Prototyping began in January 2020 the week of the first Covid-19 Lockdown. Each design was sketched on paper, then transferred to wood, carved by hand using a pen knife and jewellers tools, cast in plaster then hand poured in Pewter.

Whats next for KIX?

Our goal is to be everywhere, we are activley seeking partnerships and have tentative agreements with several large orginizations.

We will be looking to incorporate licenced images into our collections, along with adding many more collections as we progress.
