WJC Giving Tuesday
Project 2019-11-22 19:43:41 +1300
Tuesday, December 3, is GivingTuesday, and Wellington Jazz Cooperative (WJC) is hoping to raise funds to increase its profile.
GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past seven years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
WJC is a dynamic non-profit project formed to provide a platform for musicians to create interactive, original, improvised music without commercial restriction from an audience or venue. It survives on funds from members and door sales. WE have had some amazing musicians from the US, AUS and NZ play during our headliner series. During 2019 WJC gave 89% of door sales to musicians, with your help this could be 100%.
Funds from this campaign will be used to promote artists and WJC performances. Donations to our campaign will benefit from a charitable receipt from The Arts Foundation.
By donating today, you can help us to continue producing an exciting and meaningful program. We appreciate your support and a gift of any size makes a difference. Every little bit helps.

We made it!

Thank you so much to everyone who supported us during our campaign. With your help, we hit more than our target and are blessed to have friends (and friends of friends) who pledged and/or helped spread the word by sharing our campaign. Hopefully, New Zealanders will embrace GivingTuesday and it will grow from strength to strength.
We have great plans for WJC and the funds raised will be used for advertising and promotion of WJC gigs.
Once again
Thank you to our supporters

Thank you to those who have so kindly donated to our campaign.
The original intention was to only run the campaign for one day being GivingTuesday. However we believe in the goals of WJC and our performers that we have decided to keep the campaign going until the weekend.
If you are unable to donate that’s ok as you can help in other ways, like by sharing the link to our pledgeme/boosted campaign or by coming to gigs. The next gig is 5 December at Tuatara The Third Eye and will be the beautiful Emma Gilmartin followed by Jake Baxendale’s Spooky Hardbop on 19 December.
Cheers, Mark & Veronica
