We are Plant Blazed - We'll be based in Wellington CBD close to Cuba St. We have the caravan, we have the space, we have seitan - we just need the gear!
Due to the closure of our workplace Go Bang, Chef Simon and I have had to move pretty quickly to get this idea together. We both had no desire to continue cooking if it was non-vegan food so we figured that starting our own thing was the best bet. We have managed to scrape together enough money to get a caravan and worst case scenario we could possibly open with the meager funds we have left but if you folks help us then it will be super awesome and we can run the full menu and purchase some kitchen equipment that is a bit more upgraded than our tidy but small grill-set up. We also would be spending the funding on things like LPG bottles, sustainable compostable packaging and some additional shelter from the Wellington weather.
We are seriously passionate chefs and we want to bring you fun, creative and most of all delicious plant-based food. As a team we have over 40 years experience in hospitality between us covering all roles and positions, Sick of Tofu as your only option? Bored of lettuce cups? Want the best vegan burger you ever ate that wasn't just a limp mushroom in a bun? Well, we have a fantastic menu planned that covers all the bases (including gluten free!).
We want to develop this to also include a community space and this involves offering space in the future on Saturdays for up-and-coming small market vendors. Support us and we promise we will support you.
