I am aiming to create a publication of fashion, editorial images, which not only helps me as an artist to generate a physical portfolio for life post-graduation, but is also excellent promotional material for local designers and retailers. 

This project explores ideas around the creation and use of fashion photography - to display and promote fashion clothing, accessories, hair and makeup. I am working with designers and artists in Wellington specifically to promote local and emerging talent. My project is an authentic representation and promotion of local designers and creators. Some portions of my publication are constructed collaboratively to fully engage with the designs, though the majority of the works are self-directed.

It was born out of a motivational distaste for capitalism and the strength of its corrupting grip on the fashion industry. My magazine differentiates itself from mainstream publications, even those within Wellington, because of its unique economic circumstances - at this point it has not been conceived to generate income from editorials or advertisements, and as such is under no constraints with regard to its content or underlying ideological themes. It is a magazine produced with the same intentions as those of democracy, but is void of the tainting culture of capitalist individualism; it's by the little guys, for the little guys.
