Help Fiji Shine Again

Project 2016-02-25 15:02:24 +1300

Fijian people are amazing, they are always smiling, and continue to do so even in the aftermath of Cyclone Winston.

Many of the outer islands of Fiji were hit hard by the cyclone. Those remote communites are now beginning the process of rebuilding.

You can help them to do so in a way that sets the Fijian families up for a great start and a sustainable future.

Your pledge will directly fund the provision of portable solar power kits to the worst-affected communities in Fiji.

The solar kits are made to global quality standards and endorsed by the World Bank. They are designed to provide power immediately as well as to help families live sustainably for many years into the future.

The kits will be distributed by Sunergise International with the help of Colenso BBDO and Tourism Fiji.

Sunergise is a New Zealand-based company working throughout the Pacific to help communities develop sustainably. Our engineers are now working in Fiji to distribute the limited stocks of emergency solar kits that we had held in storage. Your pledge will directly fund the cost of new solar kits to be flown into Fiji and distributed around the affected regions. All proceeds will go towards this effort.

We are reaching out to everyone who wants to help the amazing people of Fiji and create an immediate positive impact that has lasting benefits.

At Sunergise we are on a mission to help the people of the Pacific go solar sooner. Solar power helps reduce the cost of imported diesel on island communities. Many of these islands are among the first to feel the effects of climate change brought about by fossil fuel generated power.

If we reach our $15,000 target, we will let the PledgeMe campaign continue to roll, as many thousands of solar kits are needed.
