About

Scalper Music Video

Project 2012-07-23 07:13:42 +1200

We are raising funds to create a music video for underground artist Scapler.

After the visual success of "Black Glory" Scalper and Sakowski Studios are teaming up again to bring you a journey of esoteric frequencies to the single "Butchers Bakers"

We held an event on the 21st of July at Whammy bar to kick things of and are looking to raise $2000. The crew is a small team of alchemical magicians hoping to manifest another classic.

Help save your culture from zomby boy-bands and corporate shells by donating to your local artists to create fresh new media that's world class and made in your back yard.

This is more than just another music video, we are building a body of work. A body of work without creative compromise, that speaks true to the heart and mind and makes you think about the invisible world around you. Next time your about to buy a combo from Maccas, think twice... that money could go towards something far better than supporting your Draconian Overlords.

SCALPER BIO

Scalper is Nadeem Shafi, born and raised in East London of Pakistani descent. Now living on the wild West Coast of Auckland (Aotearoa New Zealand), having moved there in 2007.

Scalper is Hip Hop like you’ve never heard it before. Moody, gritty beats with introspective lyrics that conjure visions of epic proportions, and an electrifying live performance that demands attention.

Former live vocalist for British band Fun-da-mental, since going solo in 2000, Scalper has released several EPs, been featured as a vocalist on numerous releases both in the USA and Europe, and toured extensively.

In 2010 Scalper supported King Kapisi on his nationwide Hip Hop Lives Here tour, and in 2011 Scalper supported Public Enemy on the New Zealand leg (Auckland and Christchurch) of their Fear of a Black Planet world tour.

Scalper released his debut album Flesh & Bones in 2010 (Border Music, NZ). Critics called it “a mesmerising debut” (NZ Musician), “what could be New Zealand’s most polished and accomplished album for 2010” (Sunday Star Times), and “an extremely serious release…very impressive” (Waikato Times).

Scalper’s second album Butchers Bakers has just been released (March 2012) and is already getting rave reviews: “Accomplished and polished…beautifully oppressive…Butchers Bakers is so good, not to mention unique to be coming out of this country, that we should claim him officially as one of our own” (New Zealand Herald).
