Help My Daughter Get The Schooling She Needs

This project is to get funding to get my daughter (Angelyssa) the schooling she needs.

She has had a hard time at school since she began (nearly 3years). I removed her from her first school after some serious bullying and homeschooled her for 6 months before trying again at a new bigger school. We have the same issues at that school as well and have come to the conclusion that mainstream school is not equipped to deal with and cater for 'gifted' children.

Angelyssa has a passion for learning and often states "I want to learn everything about everything!!!" She loves nature and animals and wantes to learn about these things. Her abilities are clearly mis-understood and being held back. Angelyssa is incredibly talented and creative.

Her giftedness means she excells at certain things which the school has not been nurturing and at the same time she is unable to deal with the unkind behaviour of others (something most kids are able to brush off).

After a year of councelling to try to help her deal with the 'trauma' she has experienced it has been realised that she really does need to be in a different environment as her self-esteem is at an all-time low.

I am a solo mother and to step in to a teacher role at this point would be beyond challenging for myself and for her.

I have an incredible option of a school that caters for gifted children, providing them all the intellectual learning she needs as well as ways and methods of managing her 'giftedness' - something I haven't been able to find in mainstream so far.

While the school is amazing with highly trained teachers, it is way beyond my ability to support financially so I am reaching out to my friends and the community to help her get in to this school for the next year at least. With term fees of $1500 out of my personal reach at the moment, ( I am building my new business up and plan on being able to fund this schooling myself after next year) I am hopeful the community can help support my beautiful girl remain positive about life and have the space to return to her happy, loving enthusiastic child while being inspired to learn and grow with this amazing school.
