Zoe's Exchange Trip To Japan

Hi my name is Zoe and I'm 11 years old. I have been lucky enough to be selected, with 19 other students from Glen Eden Intermediate, to go to Fukuoka in Japan. We will be staying with Japanese host families, that have a child of our age, and going to school with them. Afterwards, we will be going sightseeing, such as going on the Bullet Trains and going to Horoshama We will be fully surrounded by Japanese culture, including language and other aspects.

We are all expected to pay $3500 ourselves, and that covers boarding fees, accommodation, food and everything which is a pretty good deal really. My parents said I have to raise $1000 on my own. I'm doing chores for money, but so far its taking a looong time. I am also getting help from my friends at school, by selling loom bands. We are also thinking about other fundraising ideas.

I really, really want to go to Japan, because of all the oppurtunities and how different it is to New Zealand. But I'm worried, that if I dont get enough money, by September, I wont be able to go. :(
