For the past 20 years it has been my dream to represent New Zealand at the Commonwealth Games.

After watching the 1994 Commonwealths it has been my dream to compete on that level and create my own part of Silver Fern history.. After numerous sacrifices & setbacks I have manage to qualify for the games this year in the sport of Judo, making it's return after a 12 year absence.

The path to gold will be tough and the next 10 weeks are going to involve some of the most intense training sessions of my life however I know that on the 26th of July I will be in the best shape of my life and all the sacrifice & commitment will hopefully pay off..

However I haven't been the only one to sacrifice over all this time, behind each dissapointment and setback my parents have been there to help me land on my feet. They've made numerous personal and financial sacrifices over the years and now it's my turn to help them.

Mum & Dad have never seen me compete live outside of New Zealand and I want to do everything I can to get them and my son there to see me perform at the highest stage.

The majority of the financial burden for myself (& partner Moira De Villiers) will be covered, however the cost to get my family there is not.

This is where I need your help! The estimated cost to get my Mum (Karen) , Dad (Rob) & Son (Sam) over to the games is $15,000. We are hoping to raise at least $10,000 via the pledgeme site.

As time is tight we need to raise the majority of this in a very short time so I need your help!
