I am privileged to have been invited to be the Executive Director of a brand new entity which will help mobilse thousands of Kiwis to engage on important issues, and hold politicians accountable.

The same model is extremely successful and self sustaining in Australia with 600,000 members: www.GetUp.org.au

Stand UP! will help create a singular and strong voice for individuals and organisations that share concerns, but importantly it's not party-political - so we can all rally together around issues that we are passionate about, irrespective of how we vote.

I am extremely excited about this opportunity - I am itching to get working on it, but unless we fundraise for the first months of my salary by the end of a week, sadly I will be forced to have to choose from other employment options on the table.

The Challenge

So - here is the challenge - $10k in 5 days (5pm Monday)! By my math, that's $2k a day. I reckon together we can do that.

Once you have made your donation (see options on the right of the page), have a think about who else would be willing to help. We all know people who are fired up about some of the political, social and environmental issues that are currently on the table. Lets make their day by inviting them to do something proactive about it.

In our hearts we know that Aotearoa New Zealand needs its people to wake up and take issue with certain key directions that are at odds with our common purpose. This is worth us all tapping a few shoulders and requesting that people open their wallets in support, so that together we can all share some positive history-making for our beautiful little nation.

Together, and only together we can bring about a better, progressive future for Aotearoa New Zealand.
