A little introduction

We are a brand new indie game development company, based in Rotorua, NZ. At the moment the whole team is just me (Rebeccah Cox - programmer), and my brother (Eathan Cox - artist).

I graduated as a games programmer from Media Design School (MDS) in Auckland about a year ago, and since then I have been working hard on setting up the business and making/designing all sorts of games. MDS has been really supportive throughout the process, and has now offered to have us at their booth at Armageddon this October!

Here is where you guys come in, we need some help getting up there. The costs we need help to cover are:

  • Gas from Rotorua to Auckland and back
  • A motel room
  • A little tiny bit of food to sustain us

Armageddon runs from Friday 25th October, to Monday 28th October. At the moment we are only planning on going up for Saturday and Sunday to keep costs as low as possible, but if we beat our funding goal, then any extra will go towards staying for additional days.

This exposure will hopefully help our budding indie game studio to become successful, so we can keep making games for all of you!

Why do we need help

My family has been awesome and has financially supported me over the past year, but the well is running dry and they can't really afford to help me with big trips like this.

Our first game (Koi Pond Code Breaker) was released about a month ago, so we haven't made any real money yet. We have two more games that will be released soon, and others are on the way, so we just need a little help to get over this small hurdle.

HOW THE EXTRA MONEY WILL BE SPENT

So we have finally made our funding goal! Actually we're $10 over as I write this. Thank you so much to all of you that have pledged. Any extra money that we receive will go towards posters of our company and games to hang up at the event, and on some sticker sheets to hand out so everyone can have a little bit of Bexcellent Games! Again thank you, it means a lot to us.
