 SpeedStacking (Cupstacking)

Ahlani (12yrs old) has been selected to represent NZ in the sport of speed stacking (www.speedstacks.co.nz) (http://newzealandblackstacks.wikispaces.com/) at the World championships held in Florida USA 1 - 11 April 2013

Speed Stacking is a relatively new sport in NZ. The object is to up and down stack 12 plastic cups as fast and accurate as you can.

Some of the benefits are, self esteem, fitness as well as skills to better your academic learning, above all its FUN.

This is the 2nd time our daughter has been selected to represent NZ. She is currently 1st overall in the Wellington region(2012), 3rd overall Wanganui Open (2012), 2nd overall at Nationals in Palmerston North (2012) and her biggest achievement at the World Championships in Germany (2012) placing 10th fastest girl in the World. This year there is a team of 7 representing NZ, Ahlani is the only girl.

Ahlani is 1 of our 11 children 4 of whom compete in this sport and have represented their school with huge success, so whanau fundraising efforts is our only way to achieve costs towards this exciting challenge, as Ahlani is the only female competitor I (her mum) will be going along to support her in record breaking achievements. We need to raise funds to pay for travel and accomodation for the period 1 April to 11 April 2013

Cost

Approximate costing per representative has been quoted at $5000 this is for airfare, accomodation, registration fee,  uniform, travel around Orlando and living costs. Due to the late annoucement of the team and family commitments over the holiday period we have currently raised about $500

We will be having a few more fundraising opportunites planned over the next 2 months, like a disco, garage sale, hangi as well as busking at our local markets

Your support would be much appreciated and thank you for the opportunity to briefly advise on Speed Stacking. Please check out Ahlani's short video, where she shows off her award winning skills.
