Our vision is to help provide basic necessities especially heating (firewood), food, clothing, blankets & basic household items to the poor & disabled people in the colder communities of the Waikato region. We have been collecting & giving away loads of clothing, furniture, and heating to many people in the community. We need some support to help accomplish our vision so no family, child, disabled or elderly person has to be freezing cold at anytime throughout the cold seasons. Most of what we collected so far is stored at volunteers private houses. However we have run out of storage space & our only vehical we had been using has been put off the road We dont have any funds to cover the cost of a replacement utilities vehicle. Our wood is collected & chopped by hand which has been very hard PHISICALLY. We would be able to provide alot more if we had a wood splitter & better chainsaws. A trailer load of wood cut by hand takes approx 4 hours. With a chainsaw & splitter it can be done in 30 minutes. Therefore more wood to more needy people!
