We have the team, We have the skills and we recently found an opportunity we could not say no to!
Who are we?
We are a group of friends who have been working in local food for a number of years and have recently teamed up with Maria from The Vegetarian Butcher in Nelson A completley vegan butcher shop trading since mid-2017.
Along with our team down here we are going to make waste free plant-based options for people, as the only alternatives at the moment are imported from all over the world and covered in single use plastics. We think this is no longer necessary as we have the skills and the ingredients right here in New Zealand.
The Opportunity of a life time.
After teaming up with Maria from Nelson we started looking in Christchurch for a location that would suit our needs we had no idea how perfect a place was waiting for us. Through conversations with a number of people, we have been given the chance to take on a building that is fully fitted out. All the flooring and walls are in great condition. As is the extraction systems for the kitchen and a large amount of commercial grade equipment we need to make Canon Family Foods the best possible Plant Based Deli it can be!
We have managed to hault the plan of stripping the building back to nothing until mid-September to see if we have enough support from the community to make this happen.
The funds raised will help cover.
-Taking on the building and equipment from the previous owner
-Additional fit out costs
-Additional kitchen and display units
-Supplies to start making our products on a larger scale
-Marketing and photography
-Rewards for our supporters
-Crowdfunding fees
More rewards coming soon!!
