The Drop Documentary - The Story Of New Zealand's First 3D Printed Electric Vehicle

Ira Munn is working on The Drop – a three-wheeled electric vehicle kit expected to be on the market by January 2019 at the cost of about $10,000. The car is made from recycled P.E.T plastic (coke bottles); the kit takes 20 hours to build and has a projected range of 320km per charge. The car is being developed in collaboration with WeOtara and Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT) here in Auckland.
Ira has teamed up with EV enthusiast and electric vehicle builder Theo Gibson who co-hosts and produces the NZ Electric Vehicle Podcast.Co-Produced with Pico Productions and faciliatated by VTR/Suite 16. The production will follow Ira and his team of developers on their groundbreaking journey as they build and test the first prototype all the way to the sale of the first kit.
The Pledges that are made towards this campaign will pay for a professional crew to follow Ira and his developer's adventures over the next 12 months and edit the documentary together once the project is complete.
