Kiwis In The World Rally Championship

Project 2018-01-22 21:58:24 +1300

Well done! You’ve made it this far and now you’re only one click away from joining our team!

After being selected to compete in the 2018 Junior World Rally Championship (JWRC) we have literally been on the ride of our lives.

We’ve created history as the only New Zealanders to ever compete in the JWRC! Despite there being so many talented kiwi drivers, only Rod Millen (1980’s), Possum Bourne (1990’s), and Hayden Paddon, have ever made it onto the World Rally Championship stage before us.

The Junior Championship consists of five very diverse rounds held across Europe (Sweden, Corsica, Portugal, Finland & Turkey). The best drivers from around the world compete in the same car, run by the same team, meaning the world’s best driver comes out on top. There has been lots of blood, sweat and tears that have already gone into this campaign and there will continue to be more! We have just completed Sweden, and are about to head to Corsica, but right now we need your help to keep pushing forward.

It’s no secret that motorsport is not cheap, and with the team based full time in New Zealand, there are many financial challenges to competing on the other side of the world.

We will be putting your support towards the direct costs of our campaign, with our reward packages representing some of our key costs; tyres, fuel, accommodation, we need your help with it all.

Our target for this PledgeMe campaign is just a fraction of the total cost we need to complete the championship. So any money raised beyond our target will be gratefully put towards our remaining expenses.

So why not jump on board? Get a taste of what rallying is about! Be a part of something special!
