Help Us Complete Our Documentary On The Biggest Climate Negotiations In History

Project 2015-11-17 06:50:49 +1300

Climate Change is the most critical issue of our time, yet it has rarely been addressed in mainstream media...until now!

We’ve sent two young lawyers to the international negotiations in Paris.  They have exclusive observer access and are spending every waking moment documenting what occurs.  Along with regular updates while they’re there, we’ll be making this into a documentary.  In effect, we are Deconstructing Paris!

Pledge now to help make this happen.

Why? So that you know, for better or worse, whether our governments' leaders will commit to strong climate solutions and so you don’t have to troll through lots of documents and posts to find out what’s actually happening.  And to sum it all up, we’ll present it all in one easy and compelling package.

You can get our regular Deconstructing Paris updates at www.paristext2015.com; however we’re keeping our exclusive video content under wraps until the documentary is released.

2015 has seen a fundamental shift in the way people think about climate change! This year there was more fossil fuel divestment worldwide than ever and the largest gathering of world leaders in history was assembled for one purpose - to develop a global climate solution. However, governments will need to be held to account and that can’t be done without this information.

We think that information is the key to understanding and that understanding is the key to accountability.

That's why we're working flat out to bring you accessible and relevant information on the Paris Climate summit. With your help, we can make a documentary that enables the people to hold their governments to account.

We have exclusive footage of the negotiations, insider information and have invested considerable financial resources into making this a reality...but we can't finish it alone.  We need your support. Please pledge now.

Help us create our climate change documentary that, once produced, will be freely available. Even a few dollars can help make this happen!

All pledges will help us to produce a more powerful and compelling production. It will also help ensure that our message can be spread far and wide.

Pledge now - you’ll be doing a world of good!

Still not convinced? Well let me tell you more about who we are.

We are Deconstructing Paris - an independent, volunteer think tank dedicating to providing free, up-to-date and high quality information on the progress of international efforts to address the issue of climate change. Right now, we are focussing all of our attention towards Paris and the global negotiations currently under way.

With the help of Victoria University of Wellington and the Aotearoa Youth Leadership Institute, we have sent two young lawyers, Simon and Lottie, to Paris. There, they are documenting everything they see and feeding it back to our volunteer students back in new Zealand. Together, we are building a hub of information, news, video and audio from the conerence.

We have an experienced NZ Film and TV editor, Peter Houston, working with us on this project (see mindfulworldproductions.com/peter for some of his work). Whether or not this film project gets to see the light of day depends on whether we raise the funds necessary to produce this top-quality documentary.

If you donate $50 or more you’ll get credited in the film.

We do not want to do this project half-heartedly and it is critical that we have your support. Why? So that we can make an impact on people's perception on climate change, demand a global solution and hold governments to accout for their promises made in Paris.

Please donate now, we are aiming for $2200 as a starter and a further $11,000 for editing costs. Any support is appreciated and valued. Thank you.
