As well as covering the recording equipment and the the pre-purchased books, about 16 books (possibly more if I can get them printed cheaply enough) can be donated to libraries and archives, helping make the stories of Occupy Christchurch as accessable as possible.
More pledges are still welcome and will help with book printing costs, at present the plan is to set money aside every week while I record interviews and use that plus the money remaining from fundraising for the first print one, with the hope I can recoup the loss by selling the books.
If you were involved in Occupy Christchurch and would like to have your story recorded please email [email protected] and/or join the page on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/OralHistoryOfOccupyChristchurch
