Seasons' Eatings Calendar

Wow, we hit our target which is just amazing! THANK YOU. We're not done yet though so please read the updates section to find out how new pledges will still help us and the extra rewards we can give if these new targets are met.

Hello, and thank you for stopping by my page. I have decided to run a Pledge Me to raise funds to professionally produce 100 calendars. These aren’t just any old calendar, they are a truly New Zealand item which is as useful as it is attractive. Throughout the year, each month illustrates the fruit and veg that is in season, and each month also includes a recipe using this produce. Once the year is over, simply rip off the perforated date section and you have a handy seasonal guide and cookbook.

Although my business Dear Colleen is becoming more known, I’m finding it impossible to fund this project without a little help. It will take $1,500 to have 100 of these professionally printed on 100% recycled paper, right here New Zealand. I’m treating this Pledge Me more like a pre-order. There are some great-value rewards up for grabs, including the chance to get original art or a lovingly homemade Christmas cake, as well as getting your hands on the calendar itself.

I know it is pretty early to mention the ‘C’ word, but hopefully you can see this as a good opportunity to get some Christmas shopping in before the rush begins - or just buy a treat for yourself. All pledge rewards will be send out promptly before the end of September [except the Christmas cake, unless you want it in September - which is ok!], so will easily make it in good time for the new year. Plus New Zealand shipping is free.

Please note these designs are mock ups. Finished products will look a little different, for example the calendar will be spiral bound with a hoop for hanging it up. Also printing restraints could mean the tote bag ends up 2 colours, which I haven't had chance to design yet, I'll make sure it look fantastic regardless though.

THANK YOU, YOU'RE ALL AMAZING

Firstly a huge thank you to everyone who has Pledged. Bronwyn and I are so grateful and taken aback (in the best possible way) by the support you have given us. We will both be working flat out for the next couple of weeks making this calendar as good as possible so your rewards can be top notch.

If you haven't pledged yet you are still welcome, in fact we would be most thankful.

Below is a list of what we will do with the extra money (no wasting it on ice cream sundaes or slot machines for us). If these goals are hit every pledge above $10 will get extra gifts.

If we make it to $2,000...

...we will use the money to increase the calendar print run by 100 units. We will also send every person who has pledged above $10 a blank 'Seasons' Eating' recipe card and fridge magnet.

If we make it to $2,500...

...we will use the extra $500 partly to invest in advertising to promote the calendar and secondly to invest in a line of recipe greeting cards. We will also send every person who has pledged above $10 one of the greeting cards, as well as the 'Seasons' Eating' recipe card and fridge magnet.

If we make it to $3,000...

...things get pretty exciting for Bron and myself. We'll use the money to fly me up to Auckland to start planning our next project together face to face. As a thank you for this we'll send you an unpublished recipe with a Christmas theme, as well as all the goodies mentioned above.

If we make it over $3,500...

...We'll increase the print run again and look into getting a sales rep to help us wholesale the calendars into real life shops. As a thank you you'll get all the goodies above plus a set of cool fruit and veg temporary tattoos.

If we make it over $4,500...

...Well things are just getting silly now, but in reality this sum of money would enable us to roll this out as a fairly large project and help us look ahead to 2015. As a thank you you'll get everything mentioned above plus I'll dress up in a lemon suit, do a happy dance and rap the fresh prince of bel air theme... film it and put it on you tube for you to point and laugh at.
