My super wonderful niece Rachel Burton (20 yrs old) has been told she has Hodgkins Lymphoma. An obviously crappy upheaval to her world but nonetheless she is handling it with wisdom and pure grace.
Ray is approaching the fresh challenges cancer brings with it head on and in her true style she is organising a shave your hair off party ( Nelson Market, 29th June). Because the chemo will mess with her fertility she needs to save some of her precious eggs to have babies in the future. All the money raised will contribute towards the $10,000 fertility treatment costs her family are paying.
If you guys can help me raise $600 I will shave my hair off at the market! - It's about to get chilly 'round the ears...
When the fundraising has finished and we have reached $600 every donator will receive some salad type seeds in the mail - but only if we reach $600! If we don't reach $600 no money will be deducted from your account and I get to keep my hair!
