You may or may not have liked her, but Aunty Jacinda spearheaded a very powerful piece of legisltation, that we can choose to leverage.  The Public Service Act 2020 legally mandates that our leaders need to obide by minimum standards of conduct, including but not limited to "act[ing] with integrity", "treat[ing] all people with dignity and compassion", as well as "understand[ing] and meet[ing] people’s needs and aspirations".

Furthermore, the Executive Leadership Teams of each public service sector, have selected how they are wanting their leaders to be leading, through prescribed organizational values.  For the first time ever, we are seeking to measure how well leaders are leading (in 'Accordance' with these values) and create accountability as an outcome.

Public servants cannot be expected to look after others, if they are not being looked after themselves.  It's really as simple as that.

Funds that are raised will go towards financing the organizations that manage our automation (zapier), parsing (mailparser) and databasing (google) processes.  The ability of Accordance to influence actual change within the public services, comes from the sheer amount of data we're able to collect.  The more people that regularly update the database, the better, but the cost of it adds up pretty quickly and I won't be able to float it all forever!! 😅
