The Big Hairy Problem...

At least 40% of our young people are suffering from mental distress that significantly reduce their opportunities in life.

Poor mental health is a significant issue that affects our young people’s ability to concentrate and form strong social connections. This leads to poor academic performance, reduced outcomes and low quality of life for these young people.

Pre-covid, over 20% of our young people struggled with mental health. The latest estimates are that the problem has at least doubled. Just think about that, 40% of young-people struggle at school due to mental distress.

Our youth are struggling to learn and achieve because of their mental well-being. Yet these people either do not or can not access the support they need. While mobile apps might seem like an obvious solution, the elephant in the room is that over 96% of these apps are deleted within 14 days. The main reason being they are tedious, mundane and largely ineffective.

A Solution That Works!

We’ve created a fantastic mobile app that is genuinely effective, AND young people enjoy using it! EverYellow was created to make it super-easy (and enjoyable) for people to break free from the thoughts and feelings that drag them down and start living with more optimism, confidence, fulfilment and happiness.

We’ve been working hard for over three years to create this app. The app takes a highly innovative approach to mental health development. Young people can enjoyably work on their mental health simply by listening to podcast-like audio sessions that combine mental coaching with music and sounds.

Unlike existing apps, EverYellow is highly personalised to the individual and adapts to their changing needs over time. Our research has shown that over 70% of EverYellow users experience significant improvements in their mental well-being within the first seven days! And our 14-day retention is 20x that of current apps.

So we know we have a highly effective app that young people enjoy using AND get measurable results! We now need your help to get it into their hands.

Mental health innovation in an app

EverYellow takes a paradigm shift in the way mental health apps are made. We wanted to make an app that young people would enjoy using, was highly effective, and could be used in practically any situation. While the app may look simple, it's far from simple under the hood. EverYellow used intelligent personalisation and autogenerating audio technology that gives you a unique mental workout every time you use the app. It's the complex technology and specially designed content that makes EverYellow highly effective and so enjoyable.

What people say about EverYellow

In short, people say they love using EverYellow, and it's life-changing. Rather than us tell you, hear it from the people using it...

Why Now?

Poor mental health in our younger people has increased alarmingly since the pandemic. Before the pandemic, young people were already at high risk of poor mental health and substance abuse, this has now gotten much worse.

Despite this bleak picture, the good news is that young people are now talking more openly about mental health, and it’s not such a taboo subject. So, now is a perfect time to introduce an app that will help our young people develop self-efficacy and take control of their mental wellbeing.

Who We Are

EverYellow is a social impact enterprise which means we put impact before profits. You can read more about our social mission here.

Bella

Known for her infectious enthusiasm, sense of humour and love of TikTok, Bella is currently helping raise awareness of mental fitness and the EverYellow app through social media. Bella is passionate about creating impact in the world and changing the narrative around mental health. Recently graduated from highschool, Bella recognises the gap in which the EverYellow app can fill reguarding mental health support needing to be provided in schools.

Bryden

Bryden is our code nerd who helps bring EverYellow to life. As someone who's experienced challenges with his mental health, Bryden is stoked to be making a real difference to so many people. When not cranking out code, he spends his free time making music and has performed alongside some impressive names in the music industry!

Alan Cox

Alan is the creator of Everyellow. As someone who's struggled with mental health for most of his adult life, Alan understands first-hand how poor mental health gets in the way of academic achievement and enjoying life. Alan is passionate about helping young people receive all the benefits and opportunities that stem from mental fitness and well-being.

Ready for immediate impact!

This isn't just an idea, it's ready to deliver impact right now!

We've been working on the app for over three years, and it's field-tested with hundreds of people worldwide. We know we have a solution that creates impact quickly, easily and enjoyably.

So, we now need to increase awareness and get it into the hands of those who need it.

The Goal - Let's fund at least ten schools!

Ultimately, we want to make EverYellow available to every young person at school. Our immediate focus for this project campaign is to support high schools where mental health struggles are most prevalent and less able to self-fund.

Every $1000 raised will fund one high school for twelve months.

This means every student from that school will be provided with the Premium version of the Everyellow app.

We need to fund at least five schools ($5,000) to make this project viable.

We're offering lots of exclusive rewards for helping us on our mission.

Use of funds

In short, the more we raise, the more we can do.

$5,000 to $20,000
This level of funding will cover the operating expenses of setting up and managing this project.

This includes:

- Setting up each funded school

- Onboarding students and teachers

- Providing ongoing support to each school

Over $20,000

In addition to the above, we will expand the narrated content to cover more mental health concerns (such as feeling stressed, feeling lost etc.) and so make EverYellow even more impactful.

Over $30,000
In addition to the above, we will make EverYellow more inclusive by including narrated content representing Māori, Pasifika, and the rainbow community.

Over $50,000
In addition to the above, we will create further features in the app that will help high school students even more. For example, a feature that enables students to quickly reach out for one-on-one support with the school counsellor.

Last Words

By supporting this PledgeMe campaign, you are helping us tackle a serious problem with mental health in our younger people who are struggling at school.

We can't express enough how much of a difference better mental health has on improving academic achievement and increasing prospects and opportunities in life.

Your support can greatly impact the future of hundreds, if not thousands, of young students.

Together we can do this. Thank you.
