Proud Scum CD - The Legend Lives On
Project 2013-07-07 01:21:53 +1200
From early 1979 Proud Scum were a successful Auckland punk band, until they disappeared to Australia and obscurity early in 1980.
The band gathered in Auckland from the four corners of the globe in November 2008 to perform at the AK79 reunion. This was the first time in almost thirty years that all band members had all been in the same country at the same time, and in their week together they recording three tracks - Sid, Reuben and Suicide 2.
Due to time constraints the recordings were not finished or mixed. Additional recording and mixing was done in Sydney over the next two years but the tracks have not yet been mastered and have lain dormant since.
With your help we can release a limited edition CD of only one hundred copies.
All we need is $1,200 to bring this project to completion, to master the tracks, copy and print CDs and covers, and to post them to your hot little hands.
Whether you're a middle-aged desperado wanting to relive your youth or even - if there is such a thing, a young fan - cough up a few bucks to help some old punks rock on.
Let the legend live on for the next generation.

Less than a week to go...
30/07/2013 at 12:00 PM
We're almost there. Less than a week to go and we're got some great rewards that are still untouched. These are once in a lifetime opportunities which about to slip away.
Name Dropper - get your CDs autographed by all band members. Impress your friends.
Or Double Name Dropper - twice as many autographs on twice as many CDs. Twice as impressive.
We might even be able to persuade John Atrocity to autograph it - triple impressive - he's been a recluse for the last 33 years.
Or, Graffiti Artist - your very own witty saying, political statement or declaration of love will be printed on every CD cover. Or if your prefer, your doodle - as in a small drawing. Not your wiener.
Pledge now. These golden opportunities will only last a few days..
