World Art Games; the Olympic equivalence for Artists.

As an Oil painter I have been honored with the oppertunity to be part of a team of 13 NZ artists, we will be traveling to Croatia to take part in the 10 day event, which runs from the opening ceremony on the 29th June and closes on the 10th July 2013.

The World Art Games (WAG) is an organisation that provides an event equal to the sporting Olympics, which celebrates and showcases extraordinary artistic talents from representing countries. Developed by the International World Art Games (WAG)- that will see the 62 National committees that have formed in global countries coming together in Croatia 2013 for the inaugural Arts Event.

Bi-annually WAG holds this major event in different hosting countries, the first to be held in Croatia June 29^th – July 10^th 2013.

Between the periods of these major events WAG International offers a range of residencies, symposiums, concerts, and also education throughout the world.

WAG International will provide venues and programs that encourage improved recognition of all disciplines in relation to the arts. The initiative is unique in the sense that it covers every art form from many countries, across 4 cities in Croatia.
