Have you ever wanted your own castle or pyramid (be it a model one)?

(examples of what you can build with our plaster block sets)

Do you want to contribute to a project to help reduce child abuse and neglect in New Zealand, while receiving a starter castle model kit, or model pyramid set?

Would you like to see your kids spending their time on a practical, skill building craft project that will be the envy of all their friends, instead of playing video games? 

Now you can do all of the above, very quickly and easily, by making a pledge to this project.  

Why? Once the materials are purchased, sets of plaster blocks for building model castles, pyramids, churches, and anything your imagination can create will then be sold on an ongoing basis to help fund the release and marketing of my new book 'Parenting 101 - A Must Have Behavioural Guide for Parents'

This book is aimed at new and struggling parents. It will empower them with knowledge about how to positively manage and change their child's difficult behaviour. How to model appropriate behaviours and be a role model so that their children will aspire to be like them. The book also contains basic information on how to budget (and why), where and when to seek help, stories from mothers and fathers who may have struggled but overcame their struggle with parenthood. Plus, lots more advice that will enable parents to know at least the basics about raising children.

YOUR REWARDS:

For a $20 pledge you will receive a basic set of castle blocks (to normally be sold for up to $40 - including postage) along with instructions, an ideas sheet, and a discount voucher! This set is enough to get your castle started, or to build a smaller model of whatever you like!  (You will receive at least 120 different blocks).  - you can find more information about the blocks at bottom of this page

For a $40 pledge you will receive the pyramid block set (to normally be sold for up to $60). along with instructions, an ideas sheet, and a discount voucher!  This set will make you a model pyramid, with realistically textured blocks.  You can then add to the Pyramid with other egyptian style buildings of your choosing. 

For a $100 pledge you will receive a large set of castle blocks (at least 240 - normally to be sold for up to $60), a Pyramid block set (valued up to $60), and a small 'stone wall' set of plaster blocks (normally sold for up to $15), instructions, ideas sheet, and a discount voucher! 

But - not only do your pledges get you a wonderful set of detailed model plaster blocks to start building your own model castle or pyramid, you also help support a project aimed at reducing child abuse and neglect in New Zealand!

Who is behind this project?  The author of the book 'Behaviour Skills for Parents, Teachers, and Support People - myself, Trevor Lewis, along with his wonderful family. 

The blocks are all made out of quality plaster of paris, and are highly detailed, giving a realistic 'carved stone' look to them.  You use them to build a model building just like building a real building - except you use a drop of PVA or other craft glue to hold the blocks together.  The castle blocks come in various lengths (but same height so you can make walls), straight and some curved blocks for doing rounded style parts of your castle or other building.  You can paint your blocks with almost any watered down poster type paint, after you have constructed your building.  * Note the blocks are quite small and so children under 5 should be closely supervised due to choking hazard.
