Kia ora, I’m Sam RB and it is time to record my second album - 'Queen Street Acoustics'
As an independent musician I've been busking on Queen Street over the last year to fund the recording of this album, and we've done it! Due to people’s generosity and belief in me I'm now able to record this album (at Studio 203, with Andrew Buckton) in mid February. Thanks to you all – I’m stoked!
The next step, in terms of funding this project, is to raise $2300 to help with the post-production component of recording this album. This involves things like the print/press of album and the graphic design/artwork etc. In other words the stuff that comes after the album is recorded, mixed and mastered.
Queen Street has played a massive part in this album happening, hence the acknowledgement in the title. The contribution, however, has not only been financial. Queen St is also where I have developed and worked on the songs for the album. Because of this I am launching the album on Queen Street itself - seems the obvious place! So each fine evening during March you will find me playing somewhere on Queen Street, with my new album 'Queen Street Acoustics'.
Please help me wrap this album up and show your support with a pledge if you can.

We have almost finished the recording of the album. I have a couple songs to put vocals down on tomorrow, a few BVS to do too. Mike Chunn is coming in tomorrow to put bass on our co-writes, and Dr Stephen Small is coming in to lay down some piano. If you enjoyed my debut, then I think you will really dig this album, its turning out better than I ever expected...stoked!
Next steps are mixing and mastering, and then press/print process at Stebbings. Rewards will be sent out as soon as I get the albums! Cant wait!
