Mahoney Harris' Debut Album

My name is Mahoney (pronounced Marnie) Harris. I’m a singer/songwriter and I write wistful folk/pop tunes. I have an album’s worth of songs just waiting to be recorded, but I need your help. 

I released an E.P. in 2009 entitled ‘But they Do’ which received encouraging reviews. Producer, Tom Healey (Die, Die, Die, Pop Strangers, Hannah Curwood, Paquin) recorded the album for all but a bottle of single malt and talented musician friends kindly lent their talents for free. This time around I want to pay them what they deserve. 


I have been working closely with renowned NZ musician and producer, Wayne Bell recording demos, so we know exactly how the songs are structured and how we will treat each recording. Wayne and I will be working closely with Tom Healey who will be producing the album.


We have set a date to record in Tom’s studio in the heart of The Lab Studios, Auckland: February 23rd, 2013.  I need $3000 to record, mix and master the album, which is a very modest sum relatively speaking!
