Hi! We are 'you be good i love you', a company made up of four young artists; Lee, Leo, Lewis and Brooke.
The past few months we have been creating an original play for The New Zealand Fringe Festival. The play, titled ‘Tigers Can’t Change Their Stripes’ is a comedy centering on the story of two Tigers who happen to run into the very first humans- Adam and Eve. The play is an exploration of human and animal nature, providing a fresh perspective on classic biblical story. It will of course be heartfelt, thoughtful and most importantly hilarious.
The idea was formed 6 months ago by Leo, who was keen to do the fringe festival but had yet to come up with an idea. Upon waiting at a bus stop before school, it occured to him in a moment of clarity, bursting through the sleepy fog of the early morning. Adam and Eve... and Tigers! He immediately told the rest of the crew when he got to school.
The money will go towards productuon costs. More specifically the costs of the venue, costume and set. We hope to raise $300 to cover part of these costs. Luckily despite covid restrictions the show will still be able to go ahead, however there will be reduced seating capacity and fewer tickets sales, which has stretched our budget to it's limit. We would really appreciate if you could give a donation, even something small will still be super helpful. Even if it's just a branch of a tree. Thank You!
