About

Broken Glass - Short Film

Project 2012-02-08 05:51:23 +1300

“Broken Glass” is the next short film from award-winning filmmaker Chaz Harris and tackles the issues of bullying and domestic violence within the context of a modern-day fantasy story. The film has already been sponsored by Mojo Coffee and endorsed by Shine; New Zealand’s largest domestic abuse charity and Jigsaw; a network of 42 child and family protection services organizations.

After independently raising 70% of the funds required to get the film shot and pay our cast, we are now in the process of raising the $2000 we still need to ensure the film can be greenlit for production in time for our scheduled shooting dates of 14-17 April 2012. However, any money we are able to raise over and above this target amount will allow us to pay our talented and dedicated crew something as they are currently giving up their time for free to be involved.

Plot

Twelve year old Max Petersen is being bullied at school and has an abusive father at home. When playing alone in the woods one day, he encounters a mysterious creature that will soon change his life forever.
