InsideOut Youth Theatre & Film: Disembodied

Disembodied is an original theatre piece from the minds of director/writer Damara Sylvester and the 12 talented members of the InsideOut Youth Theatre ensemble.
For the past 4 months we have been writing scripts, learning lines, making props and learning choreography to create a piece of theatre intended to move, delight and even disturb our audiences.
Through lockdowns and cancellations we have persevered, because making theatre brings us JOY and CONNECTION and MEANING. And we want to share this with as many people as we can.
To broaden our reach, and to ensure we have something to show for our work despite Covid restrictions, we we are also creating a digital version to view online.
We are super excited to be able to share it with audiences all over New Zealand and globally to build our theatre community with people who would never otherwise be able to share our work.
We are asking for the financial support of our global community to show us that you recognise the WORTH of YOUTH CREATING ART TOGETHER in these times.

The production will premiere in Motueka November 5 and 6th with a digital version to go live shortly after (or to replace the live performance should COVID restrictions prohibit performance).
We need your help to fund the costs of our venue hire, equipment hire, props and costumes. If we exceed our fundraising target, we will put extra funds into paying our creative staff so that more projects like this can happen in the future.
Thank you Creative Communities for the funding they have given us to get started. Now, lets make this happen!

Thank you all of our pledgers! We hit our target and are raring to go.
Those of you who pledged for a reward of two adult tickets ($40+) or a family ticket ($70+), I'll be contacting you as soon as PledgeMe releases your details to me.
However, if you are keen to come on a particular night, please email me on [email protected] and I will reserve your place for that show. Please let me know how many seats you need because I don't have that information yet.
This crowdfunding campaign has helped us to rise to the challenge of making a show in these unusual times. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Wow... we made our minimum target of $1000! Thank you to all our supporters! This means we can pay for our venue and equipment to film this amazing piece. All go for filming tomorrow (Thursday 28th October).
Please keep pledging to help us reach our bigger campaign target of $1400 to cost of props and costume. And hey, those props include lost hearts that need to find their owners again, disembodied souls and the black market of internal organs.
So keep pleldging, amazing supporters!

More than halfway to our target - thank you so much to all our pledgers! We set ourselves a low target on PlegdeMe to cover the bare minimum due to how the platform works - our real target is more like $1400 so keep the pledges coming.
