High Wire Wrestling School have been operating out of Tauranga for 2 and a half years now. In this time 7 wrestlers have graduated to Kiwi Pro Wrestling, the promotion we all strive to be a part of in the New Zealand wrestling scene. This has been no mean feat as we have not, nor have we ever had a wrestling ring to actually train in. Most of our in ring experience has come for those graduates 5 times a year when we travel to Wellington to perform on KPW cards. This has not deterred us as we are still as dedicated as ever but it has hindered us to some degree with our development.

The class has now ballooned to double figures, with many students showing great prospect in this sport. The future of wrestling in Tauranga is a bright one but only if we have a ring for future use. With our own ring we can train more people, put on more shows and become a wider presence in the Tauranga community.

Thus far we have raised money for our goal via the usual means through fundraisers, work days, raffles etc. Our next big one is The Bays Wrestlefest in Tauranga. A show put on by us with a selection of some of NZ's best wrestling talent. We hope to make enough money from these two shows on the 25th & 26th January 2013 to pay for the initial costs of building the ring ourselves- steel/canvas/ropes/padding/wood etc. However buiding a ring is a very expensive proposition one that we can probably not achieve without some kindly assistance. Our target is $5000, your help would be much appreciated....
