Collab Project with The Fairy Godmother
I'm a young Wellingtonian on a mission to support wonderful local artists, performers and other clever people, and help them put on events!
Coma patients! Dastardly experiments! Extraterrestrials! Illicit affairs! Murder and betrayal! Death and roller skates! Every weeknight of the 2013 Wellington Fringe Festival, join us for a brand new episode of “Days of the Bold and the Restless”, the most surreal musical soap opera to hit the stage. Spanning fifteen individual episodes, “Days of the Bold and the Restless” will run the duration of the 2013 Fringe Festival.
A cast of over 25 performers bring to life an array of colourful characters – including a seductive surgeon with a penchant for playing with brains, a charming investigative journalist who uncovers a shocking secret about his closest friend, a bartender with a crippling jaywalking addiction and a wedding caterer hopelessly in love with an indecisive bride-to-be.
The cast and crew of “Days of the Bold and the Restless” bring a wealth of experience and talent in live performance, film production/performance, production management and prop/costume construction. Members of our team have worked and performed with Speakeasy Theatre, Industrial Burlesque Collective, Porirua Little Theatre, Adventure Wellington, Whitirea Performing Arts Centre and Quite Sensible Theatre. Also on board are members of Zemi Costuming and Design, KanonBrosTV Productions, Wellington Maker Space and Hydra Entertainment.
Starting Monday February 18, a brand new episode premieres every weeknight at 6.30pm at Hydraspace (152 Vivian St), culminating in a thrilling finale Friday March 8.
We are looking at a funding target of $2000 to fully realise the potential of this unique show. Not only do we need to cover production costs (rehearsal space, costuming, props, publicity) but we also want to film all fifteen episodes to make the entire experience readily available to audiences and record a sound track of all the musical numbers.

Bold and Restless Days Ahead!

A great big soapy welcome to all of you!
Thank you so much for all your support thus far. Our funding deadline is the 15th of January and with your help, we can totally get there. Tell your friends, tell your secret lovers, tell your mum - DBR is the place to be this Fringe season.
After a season pass? Check out the "Bold and Restless" reward. Only a few of those left? Check out our new one: "Bold! Restless!" Only difference? Bubbles on opening night (February 18th) which we're all super duper extremely excited about.
The cast and crew are hard at work polishing scythes, training alien babies, strengthening their vocal muscles and throwing themselves off buildings and want to thank each and every one of you who've donated so far. We're super proud of the show we'll be bringing your way come February 18th and your pledges will help us make this the very best it can be.
And if you still need convincing to pledge, here are the top ten reasons why YOU should support "Days of the Bold and the Restless":
1. The Grim Reaper is on our side.
2. Bruce the six foot duck only tells the truth - and he says this is a worthy cause.
3. We’re so awesome, coma patients get up and dance.
4. Supporting us will keep you safe from psychic mermaids.
5. The cast is full of sexy, talented people who will totally high five you in the street if you do.
6. Where else will you find a fifteen episode musical soap opera? It’s a totally unique show like nothing you’ve ever seen before.
7. We’ve got some great donation packages, including discounted presale tickets to the show!
8. You’ll go down in history as someone who made this show happen! Our wall of fame awaits you.
9. We’ve got the talent. We’ve got the skills. But we need the resources to make the show as amazing as the people in it.
10. This show will be even more exciting than illegal lizard racing!
Love and spaceships,
The DBR dream team
