Building Awesome Young Men is a non-profit project committed to empowering young men (Year 7 -13) over a four year period in areas of leadership, mana and growth. While NZ has seen an incredible rise of funding, programmes and projects for young women what we are seeing in our schools is the decline of male participation and growth. The project is not about bringing down what NZ is doing for young women but it is about also providing these opportunities for males - particularly as the culture and societal expectations of our young men is changing. Equipping our young men with skills around mental health and wellbeing is more important now than ever, as is their participation in the growth and leadership of our amazing NZ.  What being a male in NZ is changing - BAYM aims to empower our Young Men through this change.
