Section One: (Synopsis)

During the 1920s time period many mafia groups were lively, Mainly originating from Italy a member of one of the mafia groups moved to New Zealand and is now a resident at 194 Dee Street, Invercargill. After the arrival of the mafia member Alexandra a group was made up called the White Fedoras. This group began causing issues for the local town of Invercargill. But after the death of Alexandra in 1940, 10 years after the White Fedoras were created. Due to the death of the leader a peer o detectives are called in to investigate the murder and get to the bottom of who killed Alexandra. On their arrival to the Manor they are welcome by a member who leads them to the manor. The Detectives are then shown around the building and greeted by a few members of the group. When they come to investigating indepth with what occurred on the night of the murder. But after getting deep into the murder, they begin uncovering aspects of the murder that someone is not happy with. And because of this the detectives begin seeing more murders taking place in the Manor. As this occurs the detectives are further made aware that they were in danger, but they decide to push on and find out who was committing these crimes. When one of the detectives enters into one of the offices of a member they find a document with names of other people and members and one of the detectives. The detectives are caught off guard by this and shocked, and in response they push and make connections to whose office they were in. So after further research and watching they discover the purpoertrayer and manage to make an arrest. However after making the arrest the detectives are called back to the Manor on the same day as the arrest to another murder. This time linking to the document that the detectives had seized. In response to this the detectives are called back to the manor to investigate the new murder. When they are investigating the latest murder they are greeted by another scream upstairs the detectives evoke into a hunt for who had been screaming, they find that the scream had been another victim, but as the detectives enter into the room and find a body lying on the ground they begin searching around the area for who it could have been. They then remember passing a man on the way upstairs coming from the direction of the murder, they then look back and begin heading in the direction of the man. They find a mysterious man walking down a side alley of the building, as they follow the man they eventually find themselves in a garden. Where the man has met with a mob member and is discussing what they will do about the detectives, as they begin to discuss what will happen they are cut away by the detective ruffling the bush and the two members getting alerted. This therefore ends in a cliffhanger that will be continued in a further episode.

After having numerous attempts every year at making short films, I have always attempted to push myself to perform better each time. And this year I am taking my skills to the next level. By attempting to go as professional as I possibly can with what I have on offer. As I am 17 years old right now, but however will be turning 18 in May this will give me a good stepping stone into the film industry and my future study goals. I hope that what I create in this film can be enjoyed by everyone, and can give knowledge to myself and the peers involved in the project. As I am passionate about getting people involved, I look to getting younger generations involved in the process. Giving them a chance to experience the industry and possibly give them something that they will enormously benefit from and enjoy, simply as well as adding unforgettable memories

Hi, My name is Keiran Law. I’m the executive producer of the film: The Indent. I am seventeen but I am turning eighteen at the end of the year. I’m doing a cooking course at SIT( Southland Institute of Technology). I’m passionate about cooking and help make films. I’m passionate about getting a younger audience interested in film.

Section Three: (Locations)

Currently I am located in Mossburn, deep down in Southland. With this in mind access to equipment hire and other film gear is limited and usually requires being delivered. As with that our film location we chose Invercargill, as this would provide us a decent stepping stone to getting access to general equipment and supplies. Our film location. To be confirmed by MOH at 194 Dee Street, Invercargill. This is the old maternity center. This location fits nicely with our genre as of the nice architecture that matches the style of the era.

Section Five: (Return Investments)

In return for funding this project we would provide you with a free copy of the film as well as an added video from our producers thank you and explaining about what had happened during the production and all the exciting things that had happened.

Why did we set our goal to $1000? Simple answer. We set this as we wanted to give an easy target to hit as we understand that even the smallest amount of our main target of $5000 can help. Simply think of it like you would be helping us by supporting us with 1/5 of our budget!
