Bright Ink Mobile Bookshop

Bright Ink is a mobile bookshop and creative space for the community in Queenstown, New Zealand.
The bookshop: By selling secondhand books from our van, we hope to extend the joy of reading and encourage gifting carefully selected pre-loved books. We know there are people out there (maybe you?) looking for a place to get lost in a sea of books in an environment where you are truly welcome and in fact, encouraged to hang around looking for just the right tale. Whether it be by smell, cover or first chapter we want you to find that next great read. Bookworms, goofballs and misfits you have found your haven.
The creative space: Collaboration is key. We will work with local artists to sell their work and promote their visions. We plan to hold spoken poetry sessions, guest speaker engagements and workshops. Our mission is to enhance the art culture within the region and provide a wider platform for local artists to express and share their artwork.
How will your contribution be spent?
Your donation will help us renovate our regular ol’ van into a bookshop on wheels. With your help we will be adding a high top roof, converting the walls into bookshelves and creating a cosy space for reading, browsing and chatting. We will also be stocking our shelves for our opening day with your help.

It is with great joy we write to you about the impact of your pledges. As many other successful campaigners, we are absolutely lost for words, however, thrilled to announce pledges are now confirmed as we hit the minimum target three days before the closing date of our campaign. We’re on the edge of our seats because our campaign closes in FOUR days! Time flies but we’re hopeful we will reach our goal and that is all thanks to YOU! We are so thrilled to have your support.
While you're telling everyone you know about our campaign (wink wink), we thought you'd like to meet the newest member of Bright Ink - our Nissan Caravan!
Our van is from a local couple who bought it with plans to travel all around New Zealand. We are honored to continue the legacy of keeping it on the road, just with a different purpose. Now... what should we name it?!
