March 25, 2020: New Zealand announced Day One of the lockdown. COVID-19 was rampaging its way through the World and life seemed uncertain for everyone. At the same time on Stewart Island NZ, we were asked to stay within our bubble, an island of 400 people.
Very spontaneously I created one bubble to house all the other bubbles. A work of photography, art, humour. To draw us all closer together within our isolation. While practicing 2m safe distance and common sense.
This limited edition, Copeisolation book, with 224 pages, will be available in soft or hard cover, features photographs of Stewart Islanders in their respectful bubbles during the lockdown so that the community will remember in years to come.

Your pledges will help me get the Copeisolation book published as it will cover the costs of printing. This $12,000 is to cover the cost of printing, without this we can't produce the book. By acting now you will also secure a copy of this limited edition book

Only one week left!

Update: this is it, the last week of our pledge me campaign! We are beyond thrilled with the amazing support so far! Thank you all! However making a book is no easy task and we're facing some extra costs that we didn't anticipate. So we really need one last push. If you're thinking of pledging you only have until the 30th of September, that's next Wednesday, to do it.
Laire also has a new reward, by popular request. It's a T-shirt and a poster! You have already met our poster boy, Peter Cox, skipper of the Ulva Island Water Taxi. Now you can get a t-shirt and an A3 poster for $45! T shirts are limited sizes M- XXL.
There are also only 2 copies of the hard cover book left for pick up so if you've been procrastinating, buy now so you don't miss out.
If you have selected bank transfer you will be contacted after the 30th with payment details. If you don't see an email remember to check your spam folder.
The paperwork and printing process will take a while so please be patient. We're hoping, all going well, to have the book printed by early November and there will be a red carpet book launch party when it arrives. So get your glad rags and your stepping out gumboots ready!

Meanwhile the book gets finnal polish and fix. Somehow my story decided to go around the globe.

Last night was wild and stormy but something magical happened in the storm - we reached our target!! Now we can afford the printing costs and the book will be a reality!! Thank you so so much to all our supporters! We are waiting for our very first proof to arrive from the printers. But this is not the end, we will keep raising money and selling books until the end of September. After that payment details for bank transfer people will be sent out.

I cannot describe the happiness I am feeling about how far we have come in such a short time with pre-order funding for printing the book.
All my fears are fading and I hope the book will become reality very soon.
I never dreamed that I had to travel to the end of the world, a far faraway land, to self publish my first book.
