Florence Hartigan is an actress, singer and songwriter - a friend and a family member - who, for the last several years has been living in Los Angeles, California. She's been doing a lot of singing, and playing around town - most recently opening for Laura Marling and Damien Rice at Hotel Cafe.
But the good times don't stop there - she also has a video blog where she takes requests and covers them (to view click: takingrequests) and one the videos was selected for a film festival in San Francisco. So... what's our point? She's talented - yes. But life in LA isn't all fast cars and small dogs and it's been years since we've had her home. She plays so much in LA, we want our turn - we want our favourite songstress home, and there is no better time than in February when she hits the birthday milestone of 30.
Cos she's a Kiwi girl at heart - she knows that nothing comes for free and is determined to work for her ticket home (so everyone wins!) so she's going to play a gig to share with all her friends, family and fans (new and old) what she's been working on and how far she's come. And that's where YOU come in! We're not asking for people to give money for nothing. Every cent donated will be redeemable for something rad: a ticket to the gig, a limited edition CD or EP, a personalised song composed by Florence for someone that you love... NB to pledge on more than one item, please click one of the rewards you wish to pledge for, add in the sum total of the other rewards you require to the amount pledged at the top of the page, then send an email to [email protected] or message us to let us know what are the other rewards you have pledged on and we will make sure you get the goodies!
It's her dream to come back and say HI, its our dream to have her, and its your lucky day to get involved. So, to do that, we are raising $2000 - JUST to cover her airfare to NZ.
