WHOAR!!! We met our target!  Thanks so much if you have already donated!   This build is going to cost us 6.5K, so anything over the 3.5k means we do not have to tap into our savings so please,  if you can still pledge and want one of these fab rewards then please do...  it would be great to cover the whole build and be able to use our savings for one of the other many things we would like to provide to our community..  Ngā mihi nui e hoa!   XXXX

Change is afoot. In the past few months we’ve seen some of the biggest changes globally that many of us will ever see in our lifetimes. But rather than rushing back to the same old, now is a time to think about how we can work better, be better and serve our communities better. At Snails we not only have great gigs and exhibitions, supporting local and national touring artists, but we are also a creative home to artists who rent studio spaces from us, and have a place to hang their hat and work on their creative endeavours. Up until now we have housed 7 studio visual artists and an electronic music collective but we are constantly being asked if there is more space available for artists to pursue their work. At the same time, our gig/performance space is rarely full, and the crowds that we attract can easily fit into a smaller space. It makes sense to us to build new studios to house more artists, while condensing the performance space to create a cosier and more intimate feel. Double win I say!  The build is going to cost us 6.5K, of which we have saved up 3K, so we are aiming for 3.5K.   If we make more then we can use our savings on other useful stuff for all the snails artists to benefit from.   THANKS in advance for your support everyone...   we love ya!
