About

Will Frost's CD - Shelter

Project 2012-02-04 00:57:49 +1300

Will Frost is a diverse 19 year old singer and multi instrumentalist. With his classical training, Will sings in The National Youth Choir and conducts Christchurch Boys’ Choir and Medbury Chorus. He has two performance diplomas - one in flute and one in voice. He is studying Psychology at Canterbury University. He has lived in Christchurch all his life and was even having a singing lesson at the time of the Feb. 22nd Earthquake. What many people don't know about him is that he has 10 songs all ready to be made into a CD - but 2nd year Uni students don't tend to have the cash to get that off the ground. Will's lyrical songs are wistful and clever and deserve to be heard.

Your help to cover the cost of studio time and production will bring these songs to life. Will is assisted by Julie Gaudin who currently works managing Windsor Wedding Music and has worked promoting several classical and crossover musicians in the UK.

The Team

Julie writes about Will
Will makes the best omelettes and the worst cups of tea of anyone I know. He is more competitive than me, can type faster than me, and can sing higher than me. He loves eating lollies, but not the yellow ones, they make him ill. He smiles or laughs constantly but has yet to write a completely cheerful song.  He is a fan of British comedy, Doctor Who and internet shopping.

Will writes about Julie
Julie is very much the marketing machine. When she’s not shamelessly promoting me or the versatile group Windsor Wedding Music of which we are both members, Julie can be found expanding her unique shoe collection or being engaged in an epic Scrabble battle. After being stretched outside my comfort zone, I am always eager for revenge so Julie will occasionally accompany me for my classical singing recitals. Julie also teaches private music lessons in flute, recorder and piano and is the accompanist of the Medbury School Choristers.

Video Update

This is Will singing 'It's Time' in The Palms Shopping Centre in Christchurch on 16 February 2012. This is his Christchurch Earthquake Anniversary Song which is in the final of the Festival of Flowers Song Writing Competition. It's also Track 1 of Shelter, the CD that you are helping to fund.
