A New Kitesurf Record For Aotearoa!

The Coastal Classic is an annual sailing event that goes from Auckland to the Bay of Islands. The 120 nautical mile course runs up the beautiful East Coast of the North Island.
Every year hundreds of sailing yachts take part in the race north to New Zealand's founding port of Russell.
Although the Coastal Classic is principally a sailing race, a few experienced kite surfers have unofficially joined the event during the past few years.
This, with the idea of testing themselves by trying to complete the 120NM course.
The sailing race record was set in 2014 by Team Vodafone in their 60ft racing trimaran. They completed the course in a blistering 5hours 19minutes and 21seconds.
The same year, kite racer David Robertson was the first competitor to complete the course.
He beat his own expectations by finishing in 7hours 30minutes, setting the current kite record.
The race is always a big test mentally and physically for all the competitors, who train for months or years.
This 2018, Kiwi kite foiler Sam Bullock wants to set a new race record in all categories.
With his foilboard(A foilboard or hydrofoil board is a surfboard with a hydrofoil that extends below the board into the water.) and kite, he wants to attempt this goal.
We want to document his experience on this journey but we need your help to achieve a high-quality production.
We have an amazing coastline that we want to show off to the world.
New Zealand is becoming increasingly popular for world-class sailing and marine events and we don't want to miss this opportunity.
