Finn Richardson - Adventure Fund

Finn Richardson is a 17 year old from Nelson who suffered a serious spinal cord injury after a mountain biking accident in early September. He has a long recovery ahead of him and will be spending the next four months in the Spinal Unit (Burwood Hospital) in Christchurch. He is currently being treated as a paraplegic.

What will funds be used for?
We are setting up an 'Adventure Fund' to help Finn get back into adventuring during his recovery period and beyond. The goal is to raise a chunk of cash through a couple of different fundraising campaigns, to be set aside specifically to get Finn back into adventures. Having adventure goals to work towards during his rehabilitation will be motivational. Funds could be used to subsidise adaptive sports equipment, travel to sporting events or for an overseas adventure, additional resources to have him involved in Outdoor Education at school and anything else that helps him to maintain an active, outdoorsy lifestyle.
Please email [email protected] if you have a product or service you would like to donate to this fundraiser. This campaign will be running until 1st November. Ideas include 2 nights in a bach, a food voucher or an adventure experience. Be creative....every little bit adds up!

Hello everyone,
Thank you so much for supporting this fundraiser! We have raised over $14,000 between this Pledge Me site and a couple of Trade Me auctions that ran alongside this. Products and services that didn't sell will still be sold through a different avenue. Follow the Instagram page for regular updates! I'll also post something on here when we know what is happening.
I will be in touch with you by 11th November if you pledged for products/services for this fundraiser. Feel free to email me if you have any questions or something has been missed by 11th Nov - [email protected]
There's alot of admin behind the scenes with this so it's going to take me a few days to sort it all out! We are also still waiting on payments to come through. If you said you'd pay by bank deposit, please make payments ASAP as it will speed up the process. I think around 30% of the payments haven't been processed in the first round. You should have received an email if there was an issue with yours!
