The Marlowe cup is an annual sporting exchange dating back to 1955 between the School of Engineering and the University Of Otago Department Of Surveying. The event is held in Christchurch and Dunedin, alternating years.
Strong tradition since the beginning of Marlowe’s inception, had Jonesy our fire truck make the voyage down to Dunedin. Unfortunately, it has been six years since she has made it down due to the costs involved, 2018 will be the resurrection year. Some of you aren’t fortune enough to attend this event with us, this is your opportunity to be there in spirit. Get Jonesy to Dunedin.
As you can imagine getting to 46 years of age can come with a few implications, running costs have sharply increased. Our data analyst have been hard at work and concluded we need $800 to make this happen.
Here’s a list of things you can give up for one week to be part of ENSOC history
Students
- Coffee
- $2 Rice
- Cigarettes – we’ll be doing you a favour
- A box of alcohol – Three nights a week is a bit excessive
- Printing Money
Adults
- Kids
- Wife/Husband
- Leave your car in the garage for a week
