Less cooking, more family time! 

Chefs Table creates and provides Gourmet Food Boxes with a selection of healthy, balanced and fully cooked meals that are prepared by professionally qualified Chefs and do not break the bank. Meals are delivered to our customers’ doors on a Monday afternoon.  All that is required is to pop the meals into the oven for 15 minutes and customers are ready to sit down to a delicious Chef crafted dinner. Meals for the rest of the week can be refrigerated or frozen until needed.

We offer a minimum of three meals per week for a single person, couple or family of four. Our menus change weekly, and we cater to both standard and vegetarian diets. Where and when possible, we also adhere to our clients’ allergy and additional dietary requirements (with advanced notice of course), such as nut & dairy allergies, and red meat free diets.

For ease of use for our customers, we built an E-commerce website which allows customers to view our menus, order and pay online, and to communicate any specific delivery instructions or dietary requirements to us.

Since launching our business three months ago, we are encouraged by the rapid weekly increase in sales, and our goal now is to grow our business to be able to service the wider Auckland region. 

In order to do this, we need your help.  Pledge Me funds will enable us to employ additional staff, improve packaging machinery and materials, and launch a professional marketing campaign.

Who are we?

Chefs Table is the brainchild of the Chef and Owners of the well known family-run restaurant Hemingway’s, situated in Devonport on the North Shore of Auckland. After opening its doors in early 2017, Hemingway’s has steadily gathered a devoted following of Auckland locals and is renowned for its friendly and relaxed atmosphere, great service and delicious food.  In under 8 months, Hemingway’s moved up Tripadvisor’s ranking from a position of number 50/50 restaurants in Devonport to 2/50 restaurants.

As Hemingways reputation grew,  some of our customers with frequent time constraints started to call in to place orders for food-to-go. We happily obliged, but at the same time started to realise that there is a real gap in the market to provide customers with restaurant quality, ready-to-eat meals at home. Thus, we headed to the drawing board, and Chefs Table was born.

 

Giving back to our community

During the month of July, we found ourselves with a surplus Food Box. Not wanting it to go to waste, we decided to put the word out on social media asking our community to nominate a deserving family in need to receive this Food Box, free of charge.

To our surprise, the response we received was overwhelming. Hundreds of kind hearted community members reached out to us for help, and we simply could not choose just one deserving family. We ended up donating 48 meals to 4 families in need. As part of our growth and community awareness we would like to make this a regular donation and contribution to our community, and hope to be able to donate a Food Box to a family in need for every 10 Food Boxes we sell.

So now to the good stuff! You're probably wondering what type of meals you would receive once you've Pledged to support us. Well, we've laid out this visual menu below, so you can see exactly what you'll be feasting on verry soon!

 Standard Menu

  1. Delicate Pulled Pork Burritos, served with a Sesame tossed Micro Asian Salad
  2. Rich and authentic Tuscan Beef Ragout, served with a sticky Lavender infused Basmati Rice
  3. Charred Moroccan Chicken on a bed of Micro Spinach, served with a Mint Dressing and Zesty Oriental Couscous

Vegetarian Menu

  1. Fusion Buddha Bowl, served with crisp Greens, Sun Dried Tomatoes, Lebnha and Oriental Couscous
  2. Fire Roasted Capsicum served on a bed of Italian Fettucinni, served with crumbed Danish Feta and Micro Rocket
  3. Stilton Stuffed Mushrooms, served on a crisp Sesame tossed Micro Asian Salad

So you’re probably wondering where exactly the money from this project will go? Well, we’ve laid it out below, so you can see what difference you will make when you decide to support us! 

Initial Goal: $20,000
