Sweet Release Colouring In Cookbook

Project 2018-05-27 17:51:24 +1200

Hi everyone!

Kris here from Sweet Release. We became the first 100% vegan cafe in Wellington and we created and still run NZs first all vegan monthly night market called the Vegan Vault. Now we want to share our vegan food knowledge with you and we want to do this via this amazing collaboration. You can help us and be a part of the first 100% vegan colouring cookbook in NZ. This will be a hard cover printed cookbook we hope to sell in stores around NZ. It will have 40 vegan recipes (notes for how to make it Gluten free where possible) in it with 40 colouring in pages created by international artist Lynda Bell.

We think the cookbook will make a great Christmas present. And in order to have it ready for you by then, we have to spend the estimated 5 months with a publisher to get it ready.

Lynda and I are both vegan with thyroid issues for life. Baking became my Sweet Release after being diagnosed and Lynda uses her passion for drawing and painting for hers. We will be using a portion of the profits from the cookbooks to start a "Thyroid Buddies" charity to help others with thyroid issues.

The cookbook will contain not only 40 recipes, 40 colouring pages but all the tricks we use to make our vegan food simple and achievable.

Please note that Pledgeme is an all or nothing platform. If we don't reach our goal, you will not be charged or receive your rewards. The breakdowns of why we need $25k are listed are below:

-Publisher and printing fees $16k

-Cover the costs of running this campaign and rewards: $3,000

-Payment to go towards Lynda's time and staff cover for Kristine's shop hours to get the cookbook ready for printing: $5,000.

-Starting "Thyroid Buddies" as a charity: $1,000

We hope to stock your kitchens and table tops with our cookbook where you can eat delicious vegan food and create memories.

Keep an eye out for updates 😊

Thanks ❤️🌱

Kris and Lynda

Sneak peek of the 40 recipes!

12/06/2018 at 9:40 PM

🌱5 days to go

As promised, here is a sneak peek of the recipes you can expect in our Vegan colouring in recipe book (Thanks for the alternative name Lauren 😉)

All recipes are egg free, dairy free, vegetarian and vegan by default. 34 out of the 40 recipes will have notes on how to make them gluten free too! Now that I'm posting this, can't forget our nut free allergy friends. I'll make sure to update this if the PledgeMe campaign is successful.

What are you looking forward to making? Let all your allergy and vegan friends know this exists...well kind of. We need your help making this a reality. If another 391 people preorder the cookbook within 5 days, we'll reach our goal to have this printed by December!

Thank you to all our supporters and a special shoutout to our second company sponsor KAPAI KIDZ. Thank you for believing in us ❤️

10 days to go

07/06/2018 at 9:51 PM

Hi everyone

Thank you to everyone who pledged and shared via the previous event. There is only 10 days to go!

Our goal is to have 1,000 hardcore loyal fans join our FB event. We need help reaching our goal for the colouring cookbook Pledgeme campaign.

I've been running this business for over three years now. It was my dream and I've stuck through some really hard times. Me and my partner have been trying to have babies for awhile and the cookbook is one of our biggest goals to help sustain the business to allow me to step back for awhile and focus on that.

Thanks

Kris
