Angela the Angler Fish
We have a dream to build the BIGGEST art car that Kiwiburn has EVER seen - but we need your help to make it a reality!
Introducing: Angela the angler fish. A HUGE 10-meter long, roaming, illuminated, multi-featured musical mutant fish vehicle with an appetite for Burners, and a license to party. Angela is the vision of Nicholas Lealand, joined by a collaborative team of 25+ artists, engineers, electrical wizards, mechanics, fabricators, spatial designers and all-round quality humans. We told you this was gonna be BIG!
A HUGE amount of work has already gone into designing, planning, 3D modelling, researching, budgeting and purchasing of materials for Angela (thanks to a grant from the Kiwiburn Art Grant Committee). We have our vehicle base locked in: A grunty quad bike (thanks to Pete Lumos), and a twin-axle trailer. This will be the bones of Angela, and her entire body and all her artistic features, lights, music and decor will all be constructed on top of this - crafted in Wellington and assembled on the paddock. It’s going to be like a theme-camp on wheels!
