       Final Week Update!

Wow, so you guys - so grateful! 7 days to go and we are feeling like "WE GOT THIS!" - $1,160 to go by 9pm next Tuesday.

New Rewards!

Check out our final week rewards - we have mix of local Kapiti rewards, and a Newtown special.

Our generous Pledgers: Make sure you get your rewards!

We are on the home straight - but we can't be complacent till we hit our target. We need to cross the 5.5K line for Any Rewards to be shipped. Can we ask you, our amazing supporters, to tell your people why you support this project and share, share, share our pledge link.

There are regular updates on our FB page: kapitibiodiesel too - so like, share and keep coming back there.

Our little co-op of alt fuel nerds care about doing something tangible for the planet - and inspiring others to do the same.

Thank you!

Matt, Anita, Murray, Graham, Ramsey, Angus, Stephen, Alastair, Meno at Kapiti Biodiesel Co-op

We are the Kapiti Biodiesel Cooperative - a team of talented people from all walks of life who are creating biodiesel from the waste cooking businesses on the Kapiti Coast.

We are a bunch of entrepreneurs, chemists, builders, teachers, parents and alt fuel nerds.

Our front man Matt Lamason started Peoples Coffee 13 years ago and knows how to bring an idea to life.

Behind the scenes of this startup is Murray Shearer who creates and runs development projects in the Pacific with Caritas and knows how to pitch an idea and run robust modelling.

And behind the idea from the start is Ramsey Margolis who has worked setting up and educating co-operatives for over 20 years and is our main man for everything co-operative.

We want to change the way we do fuel. We care about our plannet and reducing our carbon impact on it. We also care about community and building our sense of self reliance as our world becomes increasing volatile.

Our small scale biodiesel co-op achieves both these aims.

By taking a local waste stream and transforming it into biodiesel fuel, we can reduce our green house gas emissions by up to 86% when replacing regular fossil diesel. Our biodiesel can be used in any diesel engine without modification.

Process

We also create community and local resilience by being member owned, controlled, and used. The benefits of our business stay in the local community, and don’t go to the oil man.

What are we crowdfunding for?

We want to big up our small scale project by buying a 500L biodiesel minitanker so we can take fuel to as many members as possible. Everyone who pledges over $20 will get their name printed on our tanker, so you always go with us.
