Help Ruby Get To Outward Bound 2k18

In the heart of winter, isolated in wild New Zealand bush - no technology, friends or way to escape for the next 21 days.
This is my dream.
Outward Bound is an outdoor adventure and personal development programme, based in Anakiwa at the top of the South Island, New Zealand. The course takes place over 21 days amongst the lush forests, glittering waters and awe-inspiring mountains of the Queen Charlotte Sounds. The programme consists of numerous personal challenges, outdoor adventures and team building activties to spur participants out of their comfort zones and challenge them to be the best that they can be!
This year I was presented with the GOB-smacking opportunity to take part in this incredible programme on a community scholarship - this scholarship allows me to take part in the traditional Outward Bound programme (21 days) at a discounted rate of $749 instead of the full course price of $4,180. This is a HUGE honour for me because never in my wildest dreams did I ever think I would have the opportunity to take part in an Outward Bound expereince. It is something that has always seemed just out of my reach, but never beyond my horizons.
By raising $1000 I am able to cover the $749 of the course, $150 for travel expenses, $48 for credit card fees with the remains going to awesome-ising pledge prizes! I know money isn't the same for everyone so if you're unable to donate any dollars this time, there are other ways you can help. Sometimes spreading the word, donating your time or offering resources can be just as valuable.
With your help and the support of a community scholarship, Outward Bound might just be within the reach of this fortunate Ruby! THANK YOU for all your support in making my dream come true! Soon I'll be well on my way towards a life changing exerpeince.

Hello wonderful supporters, friends and family!
Once again, a huge THANK YOU for all your generosity and love in supporting me in my Outward Bound adventure. I am so blown away by the amount of pledges that were recieved and how quickly the target was reached. Thank you thank you, I quite litterally could not have done it without you.
Here's a quick update on Pledge Prizes!
The raffle will be drawn on the 10th December. I will get my mother to film the ceremony and we will be sure to post the video here and on Facebook. NOTE: Everyone who Pledged any amount will be put into the draw for the raffle prize, which is a Christmas food hamper with a mixture of treaties and home-made goodies!
All Pledge prizes will be finding their way to their new homes in the new year - think of it as Christmas after Christmas! You have will have special presents to look forward to in the new year.
Thank you again for everything. Sending out a mass email doesn't quite do it justice, but just know, I am thinking of everyone of you individually and your signigficance in my life with the biggest gratitude in my heart.
